Rob is one of two Labour Councillors currently sitting on Hertford Town Council. He has represented Castle Ward since his election in May 2019. 

 

Born in Hertfordshire, Rob has lived in Hertford for more than 30 years. He has two daughters and five granddaughters who attend local schools.

 

Rob attended East Barnet Grammar School and later, the London School of Economics and Birmingham University.

 

He has held senior management roles in Local Government, housing and the voluntary sector. In latter years he has run his own business. He was a member of the Area Health Authority and has been a magistrate for more than 20 years.

 

He has been a member of the Labour Party for more than 40 years and was a member of the regional executive of NALGO (one of the constituents of UNISON).
